Assets

Jennifer Sneider Updated by Jennifer Sneider

Along with tracking Payments in Money Tracking, Assets can also be tracked! This is especially useful during Wrap when it is time to generate an Asset Report.

Note: Assets in Money Tracking are not linked to Inventory Assets in Continuity. Asset numbers should be tracked in Continuity, especially if your production uses Asset Hub.

Creating Assets

Payments can be designated as Assets in two ways: either edit an existing Payment or create a new Payment.

To update existing Payments as Assets:

  1. Click Payments on the top navigation bar.
  2. Click anywhere on the line of a specific Payment.
  3. Check the box under the Asset column.
  4. Click the green Checkmark button to save.

To track Assets while creating a new Payment, make sure to check the box under the Asset header during creation.

Viewing Assets

After Assets are assigned on the Payment Index, click Assets on the top navigation bar to view them in the Asset Index.

Like the Budget, a Payment Tracker at the top of the page shows a running total of the amount spent on Assets.

Click a column header in the Assets table to sort the Assets by that column.

Click the Magnifying Glass icon in the table header to filter the list by searching the columns.

Editing Assets

To add more information about an Asset and/or upload a photo, head over to the Asset Index.

  1. Click anywhere on the line of an Asset to open the fields for editing.
  2. Enter or edit the information.
  3. Click the green (+) in the Photo column to upload a photo.
  4. When all information is entered, click the green Checkmark button to save.

Asset Reports

To print a report of all your Assets:

  1. Click Reports in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click Generate Report in line with Assets Report (the last report on the page).
  3. Your report generates in a new tab.

Once the report generates, you can print it or save it as a PDF.

To print a report of a filtered search on the Assets Index page:

  1. Click the Magnifying Glass icon in the table header to filter your Assets.
  2. Click the Print button at the top of the table.
  3. Give the report a title and click Print.
  4. Your report generates in a new tab.

Once the report generates, you can print it or save it as a PDF.
