Adding and Removing Sets

Creating Sets

When creating Sets in a new production or episode, you can use our Set Suggestor or create them from scratch. The Set Suggestor allows you to quickly build Sets based on Script Locations found in your script.

Using the Set Suggester
  1. On the Set Index, click + Generate Set Suggestions.
  2. Click the Reassign button to edit the Scenes per Set or the Split button to split one Set into multiple Sets as needed.
  3. Review your Sets and select the ones you want to create or check the top box to select all of your sets at once.
  4. Click Create
Creating Sets from Scratch
  1. Click + Add Set.
  2. Enter the Set Name (other details can be added at any time).
  3. Click Create & Add Another or Create.

Adding Sets

Once your Sets have been created, they can be added to additional Scenes or episodes.

  1. Click Edit All Sets to update more than one Set or click the Inline Pencil icon to update a single Set.
  2. Click Add/Remove
  3. In the Edit Scenes form, select additional Scenes on the left-hand side or select a Script Location on the right-hand side.
  4. Click Save in the form.
  5. Click Save All Sets or Save in line with the Scene.

If you’re working on a traditional episodic, you can easily add Sets that were created in other episodes into your current episode.

  1. Click Master Set List from the Set Index.
  2. Click Episode to add the Set into your episode or click Scene(s) to add the Set to specific Scenes in your episode.
Pro Tip: When creating another episode for a traditional episodic, use the Master Set List to add existing Sets first. Then use the Set Suggestor. This will help avoid duplicate Sets throughout your production.

Removing Sets

Remove Sets from the Set Index
  1. Click Edit All Sets to update more than one Set or click the Inline Pencil icon to update a single Set.
  2. Click Add/Remove
  3. In the Edit Scenes form, click the "x" next to the Scenes you wish to remove from the Set.
  4. Click Save
Remove Sets from a Set View
  1. Click Edit.
  2. Click Remove
  3. Click Remove again.

If you’re working on a traditional episodic, this will remove the Set from the episode and not the Master Set List. For all other productions, it will remove the Set completely.

Deleting Sets

To completely delete a Set from your production, click the Trash Can icon in line with the Set you wish to delete. For traditional episodics, this is found on the Master Set List. For all other productions, this is found on the Set Index.
