[Mobile] Photo Markup and Editing Photos

The Photo Editing tool allows you to edit, overlay text, and markup your photos on the fly. This feature can be accessed on any page where photos can be uploaded.

Note: The layout of the photo editor as well as instructions differ slightly between iOS and Android. Please see the section for your particular mobile device below.

Photo Markup on iOS

Adding Text

The Text Icon in the Photo Editor allows you to overlay text on top of your photos. You can add multiple text boxes to add detail to multiple areas of the photo.

  1. Tap Gallery in the top navigation bar of any Scene, Character, Set, Change, or Look View page, or tap into the Inventory View page of any Item.
  2. Tap the photo you want to edit. 
  3. Tap the Pencil Icon.
  4. Tap the Text Icon (indicated by a T).
  5. Select a color and begin typing to add text.
  6. Tap Done to dismiss the keyboard and the text can be moved, resized, and rotated.
    1. To move text, tap and hold on the text with one finger, then drag to the desired location.
    2. To resize and rotate text, tap and hold on the text with two fingers, then pinch to enlarge/shrink the text, or rotate your fingers to rotate the text.
  7. Text can be deleted by dragging the text to the Trashcan Icon at the bottom of the page.
  8. Tap the Next Arrow at the bottom right of the page to confirm your edits.

Drawing

The Pencil Icon in the Photo Editor allows you to draw freely over your photos, allowing you to highlight or modify specific details in the photo.

  1. Tap Gallery in the top navigation bar of any Scene, Character, Set, Change, or Look View page, or tap into the Inventory View page of any Item.
  2. Tap the photo you want to edit. 
  3. Tap the Pencil Icon.
  4. Tap the Pencil Icon again.
  5. Select a desired color.
  6. Tap, hold and drag your finger across the photo to draw.
  7. Tap Done when finished.
  8. Tap the Next Arrow at the bottom right of the page to confirm your edits.

Pro Tip: If you make a mistake and need to discard your photo markups, tap the Clear Icon in the bottom left corner of the photo editor to remove all marks/text.

Crop, Zoom, and Rotate on iOS

Crop

  1. Tap Gallery in the top navigation bar of any Scene, Character, Set, Change, or Look View page, or tap into the Inventory View page of any Item.
  2. Tap the photo you want to edit. 
  3. Tap the Pencil Icon.
  4. Tap the Crop Icon to open the cropping window.
    1. Drag the edges or corners of the cropping window to select the desired crop area.
    2. To crop to a specific aspect ratio, tap Constrain, then select the desired aspect ratio from the list.
  5. Tap Done to crop the image.
  6. Tap the Next Arrow at the bottom right of the page to confirm your edits.

Zoom

  1. Tap Gallery in the top navigation bar of any Scene, Character, Set, Change, or Look View page, or tap into the Inventory View page of any Item.
  2. Tap the photo you want to edit. 
  3. Tap the Pencil Icon.
  4. Tap the Crop Icon to open the cropping window.
  5. Tap and hold on the photo with two fingers, then pinch to zoom in or out.
  6. Tap Done.
  7. Tap the Next Arrow at the bottom right of the page to confirm your edits.

Rotate

  1. Tap Gallery in the top navigation bar of any Scene, Character, Set, Change, or Look View page, or tap into the Inventory View page of any Item.
  2. Tap the photo you want to edit. 
  3. Tap the Pencil Icon.
  4. Tap the Crop Icon to open the cropping window.
  5. Tap and hold on the photo with two fingers, then rotate your fingers to rotate the photo.
  6. Tap Done.
  7. Tap the Next Arrow at the bottom right of the page to confirm your edits.

Warning: Once confirmed, any edits/markups added to a photo cannot be undone and cannot be reverted to the original version. If the original version is needed, it will have to be reuploaded.


Photo Markup on Android

Adding Text

  5. Select a color, tap the photo, and begin typing to add text.
  6. Tap Done to dismiss the keyboard and the text can be moved, resized, and rotated.

    2. To resize and rotate text, tap and hold on the text with two fingers, then pinch to enlarge/shrink the text, or rotate your fingers to rotate the text.

The Paintbrush Icon in the Photo Editor allows you to draw freely over your photos, allowing you to highlight or modify specific details in the photo.

  1. Tap Gallery in the top navigation bar of any Scene, Character, Set, Change, or Look View page, or tap into the Inventory View page of any Item.
  2. Tap the photo you want to edit. 
  3. Tap the Pencil Icon.
  4. Tap the Paintbrush Icon.
  5. Select a desired color.
  6. Tap, hold and drag your finger across the photo to draw.
    1. To erase, tap Erase, then tap, hold and drag your finger across the area you'd like to remove.
  7. Tap Done when finished.
  8. Tap the Next Arrow at the bottom right of the page to confirm your edits.

  1. Tap Gallery in the top navigation bar of any Scene, Character, Set, Change, or Look View page, or tap into the Inventory View page of any Item.
  2. Tap the photo you want to edit. 
  3. Tap the Pencil Icon.
  4. Tap the Crop Icon to open the cropping window.
    1. Drag the edges or corners of the cropping window to select the desired crop area.
    2. To crop to a specific aspect ratio, select the desired aspect ratio from the list.
  5. Tap the Checkmark to crop the image.
  6. Tap the Next Arrow at the bottom right of the page to confirm your edits.

Zoom

  1. Tap Gallery in the top navigation bar of any Scene, Character, Set, Change, or Look View page, or tap into the Inventory View page of any Item.
  2. Tap the photo you want to edit. 
  3. Tap the Pencil Icon.
  4. Tap the Crop Icon to open the cropping window.
    1. Tap and hold on the photo with two fingers, then pinch to zoom in or out.
    2. Tap the Zoom Icon, then tap and drag the slider bar to the desired zoom percent.
  5. Tap the Checkmark.
  6. Tap the Next Arrow at the bottom right of the page to confirm your edits.

Rotate

  1. Tap Gallery in the top navigation bar of any Scene, Character, Set, Change, or Look View page, or tap into the Inventory View page of any Item.
  2. Tap the photo you want to edit. 
  3. Tap the Pencil Icon.
  4. Tap the Crop Icon to open the cropping window.
    1. Tap and hold on the photo with two fingers, then rotate your fingers to rotate the photo.
    2. Tap the Rotate Icon, then tap and drag the slider bar to the desired degree.
    3. Tap the 90° Icon to rotate in 90° increments.
  5. Tap the Checkmark.
  6. Tap the Next Arrow at the bottom right of the page to confirm your edits.

Warning: Once confirmed, any edits/markups added to a photo cannot be undone and cannot be reverted to the original version. If the original version is needed, it will have to be reuploaded.
