Adding and Removing Looks

Any user with editing permissions that is not in "Read Only" mode can add, edit, or remove Looks. 

Adding Looks

Looks can be added Scene-by-Scene or Character-by-Character. Both options achieve to the same result, so feel free to do whatever is best for your workflow! 

All existing Looks are found in the Looks table on the Character View page. 

Add Looks by Character

To add Looks by Character, click into a Character or search for them in the Universal Search bar. 

On the Scenes table of a Character View page:

  1. Click Edit All to add your Looks in bulk.
    or click the Inline Ellipsis for a specific Scene, then select Edit to add a single Look.
  2. Create a new Look or select an existing Look.
  3. Click Save.
Pro Tip: Scenes highlighted in yellow indicate that a Look has not yet been assigned to the Scene.

An alternative way to create Looks for a Character is to add them directly to the Looks table on the Character View page.

  1. Click Add.
  2. Enter the Look Name (required) and Description (optional).
  3. Save the Look by clicking:
  • Create to add one Look
  • (+) to create and add another
Pro Tip: If you are working on an episodic and have more than one episode selected in the Episode Selector, each episode will have its own Looks table.

Add Looks by Scene

To add Looks by Scene, click into a Scene or search for it in the Universal Search bar.

In the Character table on the Scene View page:

  1. Click Edit All to add your Looks in bulk
    or click the Inline Ellipsis for a specific Character, then select Edit to add a single Look.
  2. Create a new Look or select an existing Look.
  3. Click Save.

If you have access to multiple departments, make sure to only have only Hair or Makeup selected when adding Looks on the Scene View.


Editing Looks

Once a Look is created, you can always update the number or description from a Character View page or Look View page.

Edit Looks on a Character View page
  1. Navigate to the Looks table. 
  2. To edit more than one Look, click Edit All. To edit a single Look, click the Inline Ellipsis
  3. Make your updates. 
  4. Click Save.
Edit Looks on a Look View page
  1. Click the Sidebar Ellipsis.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Change the Look Name and/or Description.
  4. Click Save.
Pro Tip: You can get to a specific Look quickly by searching for it in the Universal Search bar at the top!

Removing Looks

Looks can be removed from a Scene or a Character.

To delete a Look, you must delete it from the Looks table on a Character View page. 

Remove Looks From a Scene

From a Scene View Page:

  1. Find the Look you would like to remove.
  2. Click the Inline Ellipsis.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Click the X that appears in the Look column.
  5. Click Save

Remove Looks From a Character

From a Character View Page:

  1. Find the Look you would like to remove. 
  2. Click the Inline Ellipsis.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Click the X that appears in the Look column.
  5. Click Save.

Deleting Looks

Warning: Deleting a Look from the Looks table permanently delete the Look from all Characters and Scenes in your production. This is different from removing a Look from a Scene.

On the Character View Page:

  1. Find the Look you would like to delete.
  2. Click the Inline Ellipsis.
  3. Select Delete
  4. Click Delete to confirm your action.

You can also search for the Look in the Universal Search bar and delete it from the Look View page.

  1. Click the Sidebar Ellipsis.
  2. Select Delete.
  3. Click Delete to confirm your action.
